... of me
... of me. This is simply just me, my life, what I do, have done, will do. A diary perhaps, where I will voice my opinions openly, which could be fun.

Ooopssss...
... due to not changing to the new version of Blogger my posts haven't been posting, so now I have updated the system all my posts will finally be visible. So I apologise for the three posts all together and hope to return to post again soon.

Well...
... yet again it's been a long time since I last did this. I think this is becoming a reoccuring theme. So what has happened since the last time I posted a blog?
Not a lot is what. Although it is my birthday this upcoming weekend so I have pretty much spent an entire week having birthday outings. Monday my gorgeous fiance took me out for a delicious meal after saying farewell to his nana until Christmas. Tuesday my nana took me shopping for the day, which again involved munching at a lovely chinese buffet in Wolverhampton. Wednesday I ventured into the good old town of Dudley where I once again had dinner out with my nana. And tonight I am venturing over to my dads with my wonderful other half to eat out again for my birthday. Tomorrow is party buffet with the mother and granparents, followed by my actual birthday on Saturday which involves (as far as I can tell from what I've been told) another meal out followed by a surprise. I was supposed to be cutting down, but with all these people throwing food at me I think I shall be waiting until I am back at university.
On the university note, this Sunday we venture upto Derby to move into the new house. Ashleigh and I will finally be living together without all the travelling between houses and sleeping under different roofs at varies points in the week. I am super excited about moving in together. We shall also be living with two of my friends from university, Kat and Damien. So these other names may be occuring on this page more regularly as time goes on.
I am currently waiting for Ash to return from work so that we can later head over to my fathers and begin the celebrations. I, being the eager beaver that I usually am when going anywhere, am already dressed with hair and make up done. Lets note that Ash doesn't finish work until 6, hence the return to posting at such a time as this. I will try to post again sometime next week once the new house has had the broadband installed and will tell you all about my birthday surprises and the big move.

What...
... on earth has taken me so long to update this blog??!!
Well in all honesty, I have no excuse; I still don't have a job and have plenty of spare time on my hands.
Ashleigh and I celebrated our first year together on Saturday cuddled up in bed watching a film with a children's pick 'n' mix from Tesco. Nothing more fun than acting like children filling a tub full with fattening sweets. The year we have spent together has flown by, but I feel like we've been together forever and I've loved every minute that we've spent together.
Being back home has been a little bit weird with nothing to do except read, read and read, with the occasional bit of shorthand thrown in for good measure. Who knows, by the time I start back at University in September I'll have read a library worth of books and achieved 60 wpm in shorthand.
The diet has also begun! By Christmas I am hoping to have lost atlest 4 stone. So here we go! Here's hoping that if I lose the weight know I'll avoid the unnecessary diet during the wedding planning in a couple of years time :)
Well considering I have numerous blogs to update I should probably get around to doing so rather than writing more here and watching Don't Tell the Bride.

About time...
that I blogged again...
To say I have no job and not tonnes of work to do over the summer why do I feel so damn stressed? No more travelling backwards and forwards from Dudley to Derby to Mansfield and back again now that my work experience is complete. So why does my head still feel like it has a thousand and one things to think about?
Money! Money is thin on the ground after the first year at university, with even more money leaving the account to pay rent on a new house. Guess I'm not eating for a while; good job I've started my diet. Probably about time I did considering the 3 and a half stone I need to lose.
I sit here now in the quiet carriage on the train contemplating how on earth I can find a job that isn't on a voluntary basis. I officially can't afford to just help oput in hospitals and do weekly radio shows and what not.
On a much brighter side I feel so much more confident about myself after finally writing and recording voicers with few or none criticisms (even if it did take all morning). Over the last four weeks I've come a long way from the university student that turned up worried about interviewing strangers and scared of answering the phone.
Soon I will be home for the summer (right after the stress of Birmingham New Street to catch a connecting service- http://kellymariereviews.blogspot.com/2011/06/trains.html). Shopping tomorrow with the Grandmother; I say shopping, its more of lunch and wandering around town window shopping due to the lack of funds.
I am currently waiting for the return of my beloved companion... my laptop. I need to blog more regularly because at present I am writing in a Pukka Pad with my precious pen from Paperchase (by the way, I absolutely love stationary).
I would try to continue writing for the rest of my journey to New Street but considering I'm already starting to waffle I best stop before I lose like the whole three people who occasionally read the crap that I write.

Finally...
... the first year of University is over, it's been less than 8 months since I moved into halls last September and it has gone so quickly.
I'm officially moving back home next week for the summer. Happy times! I guess 8 months away from somewhere you realise how much you miss it, even Dudley. After spending the last 20 years of my life trying to escape it's evil grasp on my life I return this summer looking forward to the sixteen weeks or so that I'll be back.
There is a great vision in my head of spending sixteen weeks doing very little, going on daytrips, a holiday maybe, etc... Unfortunately being a student at present there is no luxury in this holiday as I need to find a job and quick. Although my Tuesdays are taken up with doing radio work experience at Mansfield 103.2, I need to find a way of making some money to save as my darling other half and I shall be living together in September, in Derby (with Damien and Kat). To top off the work experience and needing paid work, I also have to do Shorthand at intervals over the holiday in an attempt to actually remember what the hells going on with it. So a lot of revision and around 20 or so dictation pieces to practise. Fun times.
On a completely different note, I am currently without my precious laptop as the stupid piece of crap has a loose connection or something and will just not turn on. Blogging looks like it will be taking a backseat for a while until my precious social networking tool returns. I shall blog if and when I can (mainly by stealing Ashleigh's laptop, like now).
During the Christmas holidays I decided it would be a brilliant idea to relive my youth and read the famous Harry Potter books. I just could not get into the stories as a child (I owned 1,3 and 4 for some reason), so I tried again at Christmas to read The Philosopher's Stone and actually read the whole damn thing. Over Easter I read The Chamber of Secrets after borrowing it from the library, and last week I read Prisoner of Askaban and began The Goblet of Fire. Its actually shocking how different the books are compared to the films, it really is like "where the f**k did the film come up with this from, it's completely different to the book." And may I say, the books are actually so much batter than the films, picturing some of the scenes in my head and imagining them say stupid little things have actually been making me laugh outloud (while Ash sits there giving me a look that is questioning my sanity).
Speaking of Ashleigh, he finishes his third year of Architecture Thursday, but is currently stressing to get his work printed in time, even as I type this he's in a long queue waiting for his work after disappearing into Studio at half 8 this morning.
I believe it is time for me to return to my book (only 140 pages or so of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire left to read and I can begin on Order of the Pheonix). Over and out x

Reading...
... the Harry Potter collection and no I'm not too old.
I've seen the films and thought I shall read the books, considering people say they are better than the films. I agree. I simply couldn't put the first two books down, and I'm now about a third of the way through the third one.
I never gave the books a chance really when I was growing up. Although I did buy the first, third and fourth books. But finally I'm setting down to read them in order, and am thoroughly enjoying each book so far.
Ideally I should be reading books which will help me complete my law essay, but defamation and the defences doesn't sound as enthralling as Divination and Tranfiguration. I know which subjects sound more exciting to me.
Off I go to read some more of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban before bed. Goodnight.

Here we are again...
... writing another blog entry, shock, two days in a row.
As if Ash and I got up this morning to walk to Swindon, across the canal and then back to his. Around about 10 miles in total, a good start to the getting fit campaign we have going now. Shame now all he wants to do is eat. Even though we set out about twenty to ten this morning and didn't get back til around quarter to two it was a nice walk. We even stopped for a nice fresh sandwich from the bakery in Swindon, which was quite scrummy.
As you can imagine my feet now kill from walking and the silly trainers I was wearing, but I've had a cold shower and have watched Glee for the last 40 minutes or so. Very good times. Ideally I should now do some university work or atleast write a functional blog on my reviews page but I'm just so chilled right now cuddled up under the duvet in Ash's bed while he does work again. Speaking of Ash and bed (don't get any ideas, what is about to follow is completely innocent) we changed side of the bed last night and he slept by the wall at his for the first time since we've been together and was really uncomfortable apparently, looks like we may be swapping back again tonight, although I slept like a baby on his side.
After watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs yesterday, we snuggled up to watch Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief which was actually pretty good too. All in all I've watched some pretty good films over the last week or so. May have to find a film for tonights cuddle session.

More and more...
... and more. Back to the theme of food it is. We have been sat here for the last hour watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and we're just fantacising about gigantic food.
Ash's eyes just lit up at the giant hotdogs which just appeared, I think he'd even eat cartoon food right now. Time to plan a diet before food takes over his life.
Well now we sound like right fatties, we don't eat constantly, honest. I won't mention the fact Ash has got through two Easter eggs in the last week.

Wow...
... I seem to have left it a while since posting again.
I'm happy to say, my better half and I are back on home turf for the Easter holiday, rather than being stuck at university, it's just a shame we're both still swampt with work to have finished at the beginning of next month. Although saying that, I'll be glad to finish on the 16th May, which is my last deadline.
Since being back we've managed to stuff our faces with so much food which is bad for us, especially as most days we have had some form of take away, this my dears is not good, I for one feel like (excuse the language) crap. Must cut down, must eat normally, must ignore the fact my tummy is now rumbling at the thought of more food.
Talking of food, I have put so much weight back on since being at university, this is not good, another reason to cut down. Hopefully it will be easier to eat normally when I return for my second year as I shall be living with Mr Ashleigh Clarke, not that he eats any better than I've been.
Speak of the devil, he is just casually sitting on the edge of the bed working away, trying to write his report for his final piece. Wonder which one of us has their priorities right? Blog or work? Hmm, considering my course, blogging technically classes as work, so I am behaving myself, honest. I love the fact I can turn round and say "yeah I'm reading this gossip magazine, and yes it is work". This works for all magazines, newspapers, blogging... it even works for reading books and watching some television programmes because I'm currently doing a professional writing module which invloves writing for different audiences. I suppose studying Journalism does have its advantages.
So, back to my point. Since being home it sounds like all we seem to have done is eat, this is not the case. (Scratch that, upon writing the following sentence Ash turns round and says "I'm going to go and ask nana whats for tea", looks like theres a theme.) We have spent the last two days at Himley, which is a local park with a lake (which I called a pond Saturday and Ash kept trying to correct me, its still a pond in my world). We also sold all our stuff we didn't want/need at a carboot sale last Sunday, which meant we could save some money, it was a nice plan but it has already been spent. I went out for lunch with my nana last Thursday, we went to Wolverhampton and had a gammon grill each with a nice refreshing orange and lemonade (yes, more food).
Since being back I also decided I wanted my hair a lighter colour, so bought a lighting kit and a light brown dye, not as successful as one would have hoped considering now I have "strawberry-blonde" hair (its blonde with ginger patches. I actually think I like it though, as it looks highlighted, but I'm sure I'll get bored again soon enough. Clearly I have nothing better to do than dye my hair when the other half is at work.
Well I'm just settling down to watch The Merchant of Venice, which I haven't seen before so should be good. This means blogging shall have to wait no for another day, Shakespeare needs my full attention. (BTW its chicken, chips and spicy sauce for tea, incase you were wondering ;) )

Mr Ashleigh Clarke, I love you with every inch of my heart. You are the most amazing person in the entire world. You're all I've ever wanted, and all I ever will want. I only need you in my life. I just want to lie in your arms til the universe comes to an end, because once I'm in your arms I don't care whats happening in the rest of the world, I've got everything I need right here.
Hurry up and marry me because I honestly cannot wait to be Mrs Kelly Marie Clarke.
You say the cutest and funniest things, like just you said "theres no times button on my keyboard". How adorable. I love your cuteness.
I'm sorry I don't show you how much you mean to me very often, but you honestly are my everything and I truly adore you.
I appreciate everything you do for me sweetheart, I do.
I promise I shall always be yours, forever.
I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Valentine's Day...
... comes around again, as it does every year. This year I'm happily in love with the most amazing man in the world who I have shared an amazing weekend with. Although we haven't been able to spend the entire 14th together there is no need to worry, as the whole weekend was pretty much spent as Valentines.
Lots of prezzziesss, and even more food. Italian Friday night, home-made stuffed chicken breasts with mash and veg on Saturday night and then Marks 'n' Sparks Dine in Meal for Two with a bottle of wine and choccies, so crab starter, steak main with chips and veg followed by a posh little dessert in little cups. Then later Sunday night cocktails went down a treat.
It was the most special Valentine's day/ weekend I've ever had if I'm honest, and I appreciate everything Mr Ashleigh Clarke did for me. I love you so much Sweetheart.

Time to...
... do as many things as I can to actually avoid the daunting task of beginning my minor assignment for Digital Publishing. It's not that the task is complicated, nor that it is conpletely boring, but there's just so much to fit in 1,000 words and no useful books to reference from. Why can I not reference common sense?
So I shopped, planned a girlie evening in, washed clothes, hoovered and even sat here writing this blog. But once this is done all I have left is to actually attempt the work rather than sitting here staring into space or watching an endless list TV programmes, which can be watched another day.
My plan; write the essay how I want to write the essay and then find useful texts to reference later. And why has the uni library not sorted out the books I requested over a week ago in the vault; not really helping the issue to be quite frank.
I suppose I best begin, after I put the washing in the dryer I guess. Then I may be back again later to blog once more. Over and out.

Oooo...
... it's now 2011, and I'm as happy as Larry, and have been since I met my prince charming. The prince got down on one knee and proposed, and his princess said yes!!!!! I'm well on my way to becoming Mrs Kelly Clarke :)
Mr Ashleigh Clarke, I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you, falling asleep beside the man of my dreams and waking up in his arms. And I'm looking forward to this weekend ;) horror film times snuggled up close together (Don't worry baby, I'll keep you safe, I promiss) :)
We had our first Christmas together, and as expected it was amazing, I can honestly say I enjoyed my Christmas for and first time in a blooming long while. Now for our first Valentine's Day together, exciting stuff on the horizon.
As for everything else going on in my life right now nothing could dampen my mood, even the dreaded return to my cell in halls and back to uni life. But soon it will be the summer, which I can spend with my gorgeous fiance, day in and day out. Just the thought of that will get me through this last term.
Also as part of my Journalism course I will be writing a regular blog, probably containing reviews or something along those lines, which I will be starting shortly, but alas I will continue this also.
But for tonight that will be all :)
